Advisory Council
The Advisory Council for Global Studies is made up of people from around the world who have achieved distinction in professions or activities involving global and transnational connections. The council acts as a conduit between the academic program of Global Studies and the wider world. It brings together people active in fields ranging from business to public service, non-governmental organizations to the culture industries to discuss issues of common concern. We envisage a yearly workshop to facilitate connections among faculty, professions and students, in addition to the Global Professions/Global Action lecture series in which some of the council members will be involved. The council will lead to developing an international network that will advise and assist Global Studies students as they seek internships or employment.
